I think my skate skis are straight up older than I am.
morning.
Winter adventure week two: so much skiing, so many mountains, more snow, more movies, games and books, local beer, falling down, getting up, discovering new muscles, embracing the hurt, sharing it all with my partner in crime ❤️
10 years of adventures with my Captain Kirk ❤️ let's go ski!
Every adventure mobile needs art ❤️ @paigebarnesart
Winter adventure week one: skiing every day, games, snacks, books, sleep, freshies.

@OregonDesertTrail

It's true, sometimes there is no trail on the Oregon Desert Trail
New versions of the ODT materials should be updated and on our website in mid-March! Who's excited for hiking season this year? If this spring is anything like the last three years, May is the sweet spot for starting a thru-hike. What's new? A skills rating for each section based on water availability, navigation & terrain, more multi-sport info per section, driving directions to each section start and end and a suggested skills progression so you can get out there and be successful on your ODT adventure.
The sky is bigger out here 😍
When you spend time outside what is your relationship to the land? Are you conquering a peak or a climb? Are you one small piece of the whole? Pitting yourself against the extremes of nature? Traveling with the land? There are so many ways to be when we are outside. How about you?
Slow down and check out Winter Rim!
Is the Owyhee going to flow this year?!? Snowpack is looking favorable so far...
ODT Survey: If you spent time on the Oregon Desert Trail (ODT) we’d love to hear from you. Anything from a day hike to a thru-hike of the 750-mile route qualifies, and we don’t want to just hear from hikers! If you biked, paddled, skied, ran, or walked any or all of the route please take a few minutes to give us your feedback and suggestions so we can further refine the route and resources available. Our goal with the Oregon Desert Trail is to engage the recreation community in conservation issues on our public lands. If you are a hiker, biker, horseback rider, skier, climber or paddler, the time is now to play a part in the places we like to play!
Abert Rim looking fresh 😍
