In the fall of 2017 I attempted to thru-hike the 165-mile Tahoe Rim Trail. A variety of weather, foot issues and more foot pain drove me off the trail. Good news is that I’ll be back, and this is terrain worth going back to many times.

After my attempted hike, I attending the Patagonia Tools Training for Environmental Activists held near Lake Tahoe. The inspiring event helped sooth the ache of defeat, and inspired me to continue to fight for public lands, intact habitat, and a healthy ecosystem in my work on the Oregon Desert Trail.
For my next thru-hike, I headed to Canada with my dear friend NEMO to hike the Sunshine Coast Trail.
