This blog was started to chronicle my 2015 thru-hike of the Continental Divide Trail. I kept a daily journal over the 160 days, start reading about the adventure here and view the photo galleries here.
The CDT meanders 2,400 – 3,100 miles (depending which routes you take) along the backbone of the Continental Divide through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho & Montana.
The Continental Divide Trail Coalition has an interactive map where you can learn more about the route.
Because there are several different map sets and data points you can follow when hiking the trail, every hiker, in essence, hikes a different Continental Divide Trail. I like to call it a “choose your own adventure” trail!
Can I download the CDT map I see here? It’s part of the public domain, right? Did you have to also get permission to use it? Thanks.
